Study Abroad Programs Celebrates 14th Annual Crossing Paths, Crossing Cultures Photo Competition
In celebration of International Education Week, Georgia State’s Study Abroad Programs office coordinated the 14th annual Crossing Paths, Crossing Cultures (CPCC) international photo competition and awards ceremony.
CPCC is the only campus program that promotes international education through collaboration among students who have studied abroad and international students who are studying at Georgia State, allowing them to tell their international stories, sharing insights with the rest of the university community by submitting photographs and brief descriptions that capture their cross-cultural journeys.
Held in Veteran’s Memorial Hall, the event attracted over 200 students, faculty, and staff. This year’s CPCC competition was dedicated to Korea, a Georgia State task force country, and featured the Atlanta Korean Cultural Center and authentic food catered by Blossom Tree Korean Eatery.
In addition to the photo competition, the ceremony included the announcement of Program Director of the Year, which was awarded to Professor Cyntoria Johnson for her work leading the West Indies Study Abroad Program: International Perspectives on Criminal Justice & Criminology.
