Application Deadline for EAT (Experience American Tastes) Program – International Student Scholar Services
Mar 29 @ 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm

completelogo

Georgia State University’s International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) is proud to announce the return of the Experience American Tastes (EAT) program:

We invite all Georgia State faculty and staff to host two or more international students and scholars at your home for a “traditional” American dinner on the evening of Friday, April 7th, 2017.

Research indicates that international students rarely get the opportunity to experience the inside of an American home during their studies.  So, we would love to have as many hosts participate in this exciting event in order to welcome and show our support for our international students and scholars.

By participating, staff and faculty will not only be contributing to a positive American experience for our international students and scholars, but also to a cross-cultural opportunity that is sure to be just as rewarding and enjoyable for yourself and your own family.  Students and scholars will have the opportunity to experience dinner in an American home, as well as to make new connections and share about their own culture and experiences.

FROM PAST EAT PROGRAM HOSTS:

“This is a wonderful opportunity to interact with the international students, and it broadened my knowledge of another culture.”

“I thoroughly enjoyed the students. They were very friendly, open, respectful and grateful for the opportunity.”

“I really enjoyed hosting the students and would love to be a part of this program in the future.”

“We had a terrific time!”
