International Strategic Initiatives (ISI) is a seed grant fund designed to leverage external funding in support of internationalizing the university. Each year, the Office of International Initiatives issues a Request for Proposals (RFP) and awards multiple seed grants totaling $100,000 to successful applicants. Since its inception in 1997, this program has awarded $1.32 million in seed grants that have helped leverage some $57 million in external funding from public, private, and non-governmental institutions.Click here to View larger graph and additional data on ISI Return on Investment to DateISI grants have helped secure funding for international activities such as the joint EU-DOE FIPSE program for a dual degree in economics and modern languages; the recently approved Title VI Center for International Business Education (CIBER); and numerous programs funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development/Higher Education for Development in business, entrepreneurship, distance education, English language training, fiscal studies, taxation and decentralization.
