The Office of International Initiatives coordinates and supports GSU’s university-wide agenda to internationalize education. Our central focus is to infuse global content and perspectives into all aspects of teaching, research and service to prepare globally competent 21st century citizens and leaders. Working collaboratively with academic and administrative units of the university and through outreach initiatives to external constituencies, OII promotes internationalization through: |
Study Abroad Programs Study Abroad Programs offers guidance and support to the ever-increasing number of Georgia State students who pursue international academic experiences. We also work closely with faculty who design and lead innovative study abroad programs. | Strategic Planning and Development
The Strategic Planning and Development unit provides planning and development support to the Associate Provost to promote university wide collaborations, explore and initiate international initiatives and partnerships and further global engagement as we implement Goal 5 of GSU as newly adopted strategic plan (2011-2016/21). |
International Initiatives and Partnerships The International Initiatives and Partnerships unit implements and supports university-wide internationalization efforts. It offers advice, and liaises between colleges and non-academic units to plan and coordinate strategic initiatives, partnerships, and data to measure international outcomes. |
International Student and Scholar Services International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS) offers immigration support, cultural programming, and orientation programs to international students, faculty and staff in order to strengthen the intercultural and international dimensions of Georgia State University. |
