  • Facilitate fun and exciting small group outings with Summer Institute students (e.g., have coffee/lunch, go shopping, meet up to chat, sightseeing)

IEF SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS: Please read everything below before applying to the Global Ambassador Program.

Question: I am a returning Study Abroad Program student who received the IEF scholarship. May I apply to join the Global Ambassador Program?
Answer: Yes, all IEF scholarship recipients are encouraged to apply!

Question: I heard that becoming a Global Ambassador may help me fulfill ALL of my required IEF service requirements (except for the survey requirement). Is that true, and if so, how?
Answer: It’s true. If you need to fulfill any of your IEF service requirements, then serving 15 hours as a Global Ambassador will count as ALL of your required service as an IEF scholarship recipient, except for the survey requirement. Please e-mail Emily Caskey in Study Abroad Programs about the survey requirement.

Question: What if I complete less than 15 service hours as a Global Ambassador?
Answer: As a Global Ambassador, you must serve 15 hours. If you serve less than 15 hours, you will receive zero credit towards your IEF service requirement.

Due to high interest in the Global Ambassador Program, you might be added to a wait list. Please contact the Global Ambassador Program team leaders at GAP@gsu.edu with questions or concerns. Thank you!
