Offer a course that counts for the Global Scholar Distinction
GSU welcomes visiting scholars to our campus. They bring new perspectives and expertise to our classrooms and labs, and they add to the diversity of the GSU community. Following are instructions for academic departments that wish to host a visiting scholar, researcher, or professor on campus.
Hosting a J-1 Scholar or Professor
Host departments will initiate this process by submitting a J-1 scholar request through ISSS at least 3 months prior to the intended arrival date. Please visit this page for more details about the request process. ISSS will then communicate with the host department and the visiting scholar on next steps. Additional information is available at https://isss.gsu.edu/j-1-scholars/.
