Apply for Summer Institute

Georgia State University will host 2022 Summer Institute and Summer Sessions programs on campus, pending potential cancellations due to COVID-19. These programs would require scholars and students to visit Atlanta so they can participate in-person.

If the university decides to postpone or cancel these programs, then participants will be notified in a timely manner and refunds for payments including the nonrefundable deposits (minus the UPS Shipping fee if your I-20 is processed and shipped) will be issued.

The Summer Institute is a 4-week global program that offers students the opportunity to experience American higher education and culture. Students live in on-campus housing and attend Georgia State classes.

Disclaimer: Students must be at least 17 years old at the time of the program start date (July 4, 2022). All applicants must be born before July 4, 2005. Summer Institute is designed for college-level students.
