Program Details & Deadlines
The Summer Institute offers international students a unique opportunity to experience life on an American campus. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older at the time of submitting their application.
June 30 – August 1, 2019. Please visit the Application Instructions tab for application deadlines. Note that the following schedule is subject to change.
June 30: Arrive in Atlanta
July 1: Orientation
July 3: Classes begin
July 4: National holiday/ Fireworks
July 25: Final exams begin
August 1: Program ends
Weekends are free for CityPass excursions, shopping, or travel on your own. Please refer to the program calendar Please note that the calendar is subject to change.
What Does the Program Fee Include?
The 2019 program fee is $4,900 USD, and includes each of the following:
- In-state tuition & fees for 6 credits
- Flexible meal plan
- Medical insurance*
- Transportation and excursions
- “Breeze Card” for local transportation
- Transportation to/from the airport (For Cohorts Only)
- Admission to Atlanta attractions, which may include:
- World of Coca-Cola
- Georgia Aquarium
- High Museum of Art
- Zoo Atlanta
- Stone Mountain Park
- GSU PantherCard
- Access to Recreation Center, Library, and other GSU facilities.
(Airfare and visa fees are not included)
*Students must register for medical insurance on their own. The $80 insurance fee is part of the total program fee, but students will pay $80 directly to the insurance company and the remaining balance to Georgia State University. Information on how to register for insurance will be sent to accepted students.
