Georgia State University’s Intensive English Program is delighted to include a series of English and Cultural Seminars as an integral part of the English Summer Session. Each seminar includes useful language skills and practice. Additionally, participants receive hands-on opportunities to learn about life in Atlanta and different aspects of U.S. culture, such as music, movies, sports, and art. We will meet GSU students and Atlanta residents while learning about effective communication and cultural awareness during our adventures in the city of Atlanta. Come join us!

Entrepreneurship

Students will learn about various aspects of entrepreneurship through field-based seminars and hands on learningEntrepreneurship seminars are designed to offer students the educational leverage to execute on their ideas, build their businesses and seize the opportunities when presented, even in uncertain times.

Robotics

The Robotics track provides a hands-on robotics learning experience for undergraduates and a collaborative environment for students to brainstorm ideas and work on robot concepts and implementation. Students will get a chance to acquire one or multiple skills including programming languages, prototyping environments hardware, scientific and mathematical methods, analytical methods, computer vision and GPU programming. Participants will also have the chance to partake in culture and language sessions with Georgia State University students to learn about common customs and speech in the United States.

Biology

Students will learn about various aspects of biological research, and have the opportunity to visit the museum at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention headquarters. This museum showcases the historical involvement of the CDC in promoting the advancement of public health. Students will have the chance to participate in culture and language discussions with Georgia State University students to learn about common cultural practices and the importance of language and dialogue in the United States.

June 1st – applicants who withdraw from the program by this date will receive a full refund minus a $200 nonrefundable fee.

After June 1st – applicants who withdraw during this time will not receive a refund.
